Exceptional Engineered Floating Seals
Floating seals are simple products consisting of two components: a seal ring made of special cast iron and a rubber part (O-ring / gasket). Two identical seals are used. The sealing component, which is a sliding component, is supported by a rubber component, so it does not come into contact with the shaft, so it closely follows the radial and propulsive motion of the shaft.
The seal ring was developed for slurry application, so it is made of very hard, wear and corrosion resistant…
