Every winter season, I seem like it has actually gotten cooler than the year before. Possibly it is due to the fact that every year, I grow non electric heated mattress pad older and my metabolic process decreases. This year, I decided to determine how to remain warm in bed. My blankets are not any warmer and I didn't want to alter blankets so I chose to try other ways. Here is what I tried and what appeared to work for me.

Warmer pajamas: I am utilized to wearing shorts and a t-shirt to bed. Or, sometimes, I'll use an attractive camisole for my hubby and I to enjoy. This winter, I attempted wearing long sleeve pajamas. I actually attempted different kinds. I tried the flannel pajamas. They were exceptionally warm and I felt excellent all night. The only thing was that I didn't get to feel the softness of my down blanket versus my body - something that I actually enjoy. Likewise, I didn't feel as attractive going to sleep, something that I like to feel also, particularly with my spouse sleeping beside me. Next, I tried using these silk pajamas. They definitely felt soft to the touch, however weren't as warm as the flannel. It still worked much better than a camisole or shorts and a t-shirt.

Heated blanket: Although I like my blankets, I chose to include a heated blanket underneath them just for my body. The heated blanket worked too well. I was practically too hot and my spouse and I hesitated of starting a fire in the middle of the night given that the blanket needed to be plugged in. While this option was excellent, I decided I would simply use it for times when I am sitting on the sofa and reading and require some additional warmth. I'm keeping the blanket, but am not going to use it to go to sleep.

Cashmere bed socks: This was another option suggested to me by a friend. In the beginning, when she mentioned it, I had no concept what cashmere bed socks were. I found out that they are specific socks that you can buy to wear to bed. Obviously, you do not need to buy these socks and you can constantly just use any set of cotton socks to bed, but these are made especially to keep your feet warm all night. I actually tried using these with my shorts and tee shirt and found that it made a huge difference in how warm I felt. Surprisingly, these worked really well and I didn't need to fear a fire or alter what I typically wore. Obviously using socks to bed felt a little foreign to me initially, however eventually I got used to it.

My blankets are not any warmer and I didn't desire to alter blankets so I chose to try other ways. The only thing was that I didn't get to feel the softness of my down blanket versus my body - something that I truly delight in. Heated blanket: Although I like my blankets, I decided to include a heated blanket below them simply for my body. The heated blanket worked too well. I'm keeping the blanket, but am not going to use it to go to sleep.
