Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”acim




“Trust,” I said.



Think of your daily life because it is apparently nowadays in terms of the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So when we talk about the past stage of the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It's kind of like building a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. Then the good wind comes along and poof, it's just blown over. It can't even stand a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory;



It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in the rest; all those items that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness?



Are they really trustworthy? It surely comes down to the essence of who's my buddy? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you're asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will highlight is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination.



That is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to construct his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start out with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number four, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaing frankly about thoughts. First He's speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He returns with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You will see he's attempting to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.



The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to instruct us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the method of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in a myriad of things. What type of things would you purchase, nowadays?
