The medicine Vidaza contains Azacitidine, a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor that is used in treating French-American-British (FAB) myelodysplastic syndrome subtypes: refractory anemia (RA), or refractory anemia with ringed sideroblasts, refractory anemia with excess blasts (RAEB), refractory anemia with excess blasts in transformation (RAEB-T), and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMMoL). The medicine comes in single-use vials of 100 mg for subcutaneous and intravenous infusion. The active ingredient in the medicine is Azacitidine, with the inactive ingredient mannitol.
