It is of no surprise that bamboo products are one of the best alternatives to plastic. It is only recently that bamboo products have come in the spotlight. The story of bamboo handicrafts goes back to the 2nd century AD. There are little to no thorough records in Indian history that prove bamboo product’s origin. However, it is considered that these bamboo items have existed since the beginning of mankind’s evolution. There are significant indications of cane and bamboo crafts, such as mats in our history. In some states of India, for instance, Assam, bamboo also holds religious importance. Bamboo manufacturing and engineering endures the conventional industries and generates new better paying stable professions for citizens in areas that require social and financial stability.
