LEDs, in general, consume very little power. When comparing the energy efficiency of different lighting solutions, the statistics to look for are referred to as luminous efficacy or useful lumens. Most LED lighting retrofit projects, in manyexperiments, result in a 60-75 percent improvement in the overall energy efficiency of the facility's lighting. Depending on the existing lights and the LEDs used, the savings could be greater than 90%.

Light emit area is much concise

LEDs Emit Light in Only 180 Degrees LED technology emits light in only 180 degrees. Every other type of light emits light in all directions from the source. 360-degree emissions necessitate the use of additional devices to reflect and/or redirect light. This raises overall system costs and inevitably results in losses, implying that the device is inherently less efficient than it would be otherwise.

LED Dimming Capability

LEDs can operate at almost any percentage of their rated power (0 to 100 percent ). It should be noted that they do require LED-specific hardware in order to dim (meaning you cannot use the dimming equipment for an incandescent bulb or other traditional lighting technology). One advantage of running LEDs at a lower power level is that they become more efficient as the power is reduced. This also boosts the all-aroundlife of the lamp.
