Bloating is a common symptom of PCOS which can be caused by a number of things. For example, it can be due to an imbalance in gut bacteria, inflammation, or hormonal changes.

Bloating is also a symptom of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a hormonal disease that causes cysts to grow on the ovaries and affects how a woman's body produces and uses insulin. The cysts make it hard for eggs to develop in the ovaries, which can lead to infertility.

The treatment for PCOS-induced bloating is usually weight loss, which often helps reduce the severity of the symptoms. In some cases, medications may be prescribed to help regulate hormones. The goal of these medications is to reduce or eliminate menstrual cycles and improve ovulation rates.

PCOS symptoms include weight gain, acne, irregular periods, hair loss and excess hair growth on the face and stomach. Women with PCOS may also have high levels of male hormones called testosterone (hyperandrogenism), which can cause more severe symptoms like excess body hair growth and acne.
