Manifest Destiny Finally Revealed

1845
USA- Two hundred years ago manifest destiny- a planned execution to wipe out ingenious Native peoples was an important factor for white folks to realize the execution of the rigorous owners of the land so that white settlers could settle the land and virtually no one at the time, including Christians would acknowledge the crimes committed against Native peoples. Although many attempts have been made to expose the murder of over 100 million people there has been no recondition and no repository. Why; one may ask and the answer has always been the same. These are not people, "they are wild animals."

1860’s President Lincoln and General Grant conspired to kill millions on Native people. This is true and the data is hidden in US government archives. What a world we live in, the whole purpose was to steal and make way for white settlers. The Native folks have known this for 200 hundred years-and nothing has been done to make this wrong-right.

"According to Lemkin, colonization was in itself "intrinsically genocidal". He saw this genocide as a two-stage process, the first being the destruction of the indigenous population's way of life. In the second stage, the newcomers impose their way of life on the indigenous group. According to David Maybury-Lewis, imperial and colonial forms of genocide are enacted in two main ways, either through the deliberate clearing of territories of their original inhabitants in order to make them exploitable for purposes of resource extraction or colonial settlements, or through enlisting indigenous peoples as forced laborers in colonial or imperialist projects of resource extraction. The designation of specific events as genocidal is often controversial."

My adopted father, a prominent Native spokesperson of the Blackfeet Nation storyteller and carrier of the medicine way said "There are unmarked mass grave sites throughout this country and including Canada that killed millions of Native school children and adults a like that would not give into forced white led education."

Only today in 2021 are these atrocities coming to the forefront to reach main- stream Americans. Today there are mass grave sites being unearthed and the numbers are quite startling.

Why has our government continued to ignore this situation for so long? Embarrassment? Don’t really care? Or they don’t want to pay out reciprocity that would cost multi billions of dollars?

Let us not forget over one million bison were slaughtered in a two year period of time! Bison was the main source of protein for indigenous tribes throughout the land.

Back in 1998 the US government offered the Blackfeet Tribe in Northwest Montana thirty billion dollars to the Blackfeet Tribe to settle a dispute over the ownership of what became Glacier National Park. The tribe replied ‘no thank you, we will just expect our rightful land rights to our sacred ground back to the people that they called home for a very long time." To this day the government still controls the land and no money has come to the tribe. As a matter of fact the Blackfeet are among the poorest tribe in America and the food handouts are a sign of continued Manifest Destiny, they receive tainted meat, sugar galore and their hunting grounds continue to be sequestered.

Although there seems to be a growing movement from whites to get involved and make known this tragedy- against humanity, with more people pushing for responsibility and reciprocity there may be light coming from people that see the crimes committed and demand change. We are talking about gentle people that once roamed this country, hunted and fished and owned nothing but their integrity.

And we ask ourselves what we can do? 1st recognize and apologize. Give what you can, time, energy, food, clothing and money. Support every effort that makes US history known and do something about it, because it's the right thing to do.

What can you do? Get involved! Pick any tribe.

*NPR, LA got involved today, with one of the Cherokee Chiefs from Oklahoma a great interview and told a good portion of the story, thank you NPR radio and
