Boxing Stadiums for the 2014 Summer Olympics


Many benefits are offered by boxing stadiums to fans. They provide a better view and lower prices for tickets. Ringside seats can be as high as $700. Boxing is more of an event for entertainment, something spectators can enjoy in an ordinary setting. 27 stadiums will be hosting boxing matches during the Summer Olympics. The following are some tips for getting a good seat at a boxing match.

Yankee Stadium: Located in the Bronx, Yankee Stadium has a rich history in boxing. The stadium was initially constructed as an baseball field in the 1930s. It has hosted many events throughout the years, including boxing matches. In 1976 the legendary boxing champion Muhammad Ali fought at the stadium.

Azteca Stadium: In Mexico City, the Azteca stadium was the site of two World Cup soccer matches and has a historical significance in boxing. The record crowd of 120,000 spectators watched the 1993 match between Julio Cesar Chavez & Gringo Haugen, which made it one of the most renowned boxing venues in the world.

Lumpinee Stadium: The Lumpinee Boxing Stadium is Bangkok's most famous combat sports arena. It is capable of accommodating more than nine thousand spectators and is run by the Royal Thai Army. Tickets for fights here range between 200 and 2,000 Baht. The stadium is closed on Sundays. However fights are still held on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Lumpinee Boxing Stadium The Lumpinee Boxing Stadium was built in December 1956. It is one of the seven boxing venues in the country มวยหู. It has trained many famous Thai boxers and promoted boxing in all over the world. The stadium was closed in the late 1990s due to security reasons. Construction began on the new stadium in August 2012 and was completed in February 2014.
