Buy Your Used Apple Laptops at Mac of All Trades

2006 was a banner year for computers. Amazon Web Services was launched; the Cloud was inaugurated, and the Apple MacBook was born. Developed with Apple’s usual design aplomb, the MacBook came in a snow-white casing, with keys to match. Loaded on this machine were all the applications that one would need for business, school, and personal use. The MacBook improved upon the design of its predecessor, the Powerbook G4, by including a glossy display, sunken keyboard design, and non-mechanical magnetic closing latch. The MacBook was also the first Apple laptop to use a Magsafe adaptor. Like the iMac before it, the MacBook was designed as a portal to the internet, a way for its users to interface with millions of people online. Since its debut, thirteen years ago, Apple has continuously refined the MacBook’s design. For example, the 2017 model (which we supply at Mac of All Trades) boasts a twelve-inch LED-backlit Retina display with IPS (in-plane switching) technology—a technology that improves the display visual when viewed from non-ideal angles.

Alongside the MacBook standard, Apple released the MacBook Pro, its higher-end laptop model. The Pro was significantly larger than the standard MacBook, but had a greatly increased processing power. The 2018 model (sold at Mac of All Trades) features a fifteen-inch LED-backlit Retina display with IPS technology, a 2.2GHz six-core Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.1 GHz, 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 SDRAM on-board memory, and 256GB of flash storage.

In 2008, Apple engineered a further laptop innovation: the MacBook Air. Designed to be ultraportable, the Air was (and is) light enough to be picked up and carried with a single hand. It featured an Intel Merom CPU and Intel GMA graphics, a well as an anti-glare LED display, a full-size keyboard, and a trackpad that would respond to multi-touch gestures. The Air debuted as Apple’s first laptop to feature an optional solid-state drive, a storage device that has since become the industry standard. In 2019, the technological primacy of the Air effectively forced Apple to discontinue its standard MacBook line, given that the Air’s technology resulted in a lighter, smaller, and better-performing product than the standard MacBook, even though it came at a higher price-point. The 2019 model (sold at Mac of All Trades) features a thirteen-inch widescreen LED-backlit display with IPS technology, a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.6 GHz, 8.0GB built-in PC4-17000 memory, and 128GB of flash storage.
