Blood is a chemical that spreads all over the human body. It is slightly denser and its viscosity is about three to four times that of water. Blood consists of cells suspended in a liquid. Like other suspensions, the chemical components of blood can be separated by filtration. However, the most common method of separating blood is centrifugation. Three layers can be seen in centrifuged blood. The straw-colored liquid part, called plasma, forms at the top (~ 55%). The pale yellow capsule is a thin cream-colored layer composed of white blood cells and platelets, which is formed below the plasma, while red blood cells form a heavy part (about 45%) at the bottom of the separated chemical mixture.

What's the blood volume?

Blood volume is variable, but often about 8% of body weight. Factors such as body size, number of adipose tissue, and electrolyte concentration can affect blood volume. Adults have an average of five liters of blood.

What is the chemical composition of blood?

Blood consists of chemical components such as cellular substances (99% are red blood cells, the rest are white blood cells and platelets), water, amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, hormones, vitamins, electrolytes, dissolved gases, and cell waste. By volume, each red blood cell is about one-third of hemoglobin. About 92% of plasma is water, and plasma protein is the most abundant solute. Plasma proteins are mainly albumin, globulin, and fibrinogen. The main blood gases are oxygen, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen.
