CMS-Wave is a component of the Coastal Modeling System developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Coastal and Hydraulic Research Institute. CMS-Wave is a two-dimensional wave spectrum transformation model that solves wave motion conservation equations using forward-marching and finite-difference methods. This is a phase averaged model that ignores changes in wave phase when calculating wave and other offshore processes from output wave information. CMS-Wave is ideal for performing wave simulations at coastal entrances because it includes theoretically developed approximations for both wave diffraction and reflection. Since this model operates on a coastal half-plane, the main wave can propagate only at the ocean boundary in the coastal direction. If the Reflect margins option is enabled, the model performs a reverse hanger after the delivery marginal calculation is complete.

CMS-Wave model features and key features:
• Surfing and surfing
• Variable rectangular cell
• Lattice nesting
• Nonlinear wave interaction
• Impermeable structure
