Moscow CSKA drew (29:29) in the return match against French Nîmes in the second qualifying round of the Europa League. Considering the result of the first meeting (36:29), CSKA ends its performance in the tournament. The results of the return match were summed up by the Belarusian legionnaire of the red and blue Alexander Podshivalov.

- Our game still leaves much to be desired, we need to improve in many components. We were unable to score a few goals in order to seize the advantage and initiative during the match, to return the degree of play and the chances of passing further. It was quite difficult to score goals in a positional attack. I can say that it was very difficult to keep some of Nimes players, - said the player. “This created a lot of difficulties for our defense. But the game is indicative, a very good experience. There is a lot of work ahead, but I think we know what we are striving for. Now CSKA will fully concentrate on the tasks in the domestic championship and the Russian Cup. A busy October awaits us, where matches will be played against the country's strongest teams: Neva, Perm Bears and Chekhov Bears.

CSKA will play its next game away against the St. Petersburg Neva. The meeting will take place on October 2.
