Does a cell phone signal jammer block a cell phone signal booster?

Unfortunately, a mobile signal jammer interferes with the signal amplifier of your cell phone. Signal boosters amplify an existing signal, but if that cellular signal is blocked, it doesn't matter how strong it is - the signal jammer will cause interference.

Cell phone signal boosters stop signal jammers?
Cell phone signal boosters are a great way to improve reception on the road or when building materials are in the way, but they are not an effective defense against cell phone signal jammers. As it stands, every signal jammer is also a signal booster jammer.

How do I recognize a signal jammer?
The most common symptom of interference from signal interference on cell phones, as you guessed it, is a loss of service. While there are apps that claim to detect signal interferers, these are largely unproven and require a working signal to function. Without cutting-edge, military-grade technology, it is virtually impossible for the average consumer to definitively detect a cell phone jammer.

However, if you suspect any illegal activity of this nature, please contact law enforcement or file a complaint with the FCC.

How do I stop a cell signal jammer?
If you can't locate the jammer yourself, which usually looks like a walkie-talkie, cell phone, or wireless router, and disable it, blocking signal jammers isn't the best option.

If you're tech-savvy enough to change the frequency that your phone operates, you might be lucky enough to bypass the jammer too. However, it depends on the sophistication of the jammer blocking your signal.

If you suspect you may have been the victim of a cell phone signal jammer, moving is your best bet. Cell phone signal jammers usually do not transmit more than 30 square meters. So if you move away from your current location, you can usually move out of range of the jammer.

If you are a victim of someone using a cell phone signal blocker, please contact law enforcement again or file a complaint with the FCC.
