A little more info, please.

1. Yes it is in my tree and I can look at its files. 3. Yes, I have iTunes and it does not run when I plugin the ipod. 4. I use 'send to'. 5. Not sure what Gen. It says MC297LL Ver.2.0.4 PC . Its a 160gb model.
Right now the ipod is not connected and it still shows it available and will not eject it because its in use.
I tried to remove some files from the ipod and got pretty much the same thing, it says its working, status bar goes about 3/4 across the screen stops no matter how long I wait, won't eject because its in use and when I stop and look the files are still there.
I'm having the same problem. It has always worked in the past.
1) Does MM see the Classic (is it in the tree after being plugged in)? 2) If it appears in the tree does MM scan it when it is plugged in? 3) Do you have iTunes installed? 4) Are you using auto-sync, send to, or drop & drag? 5) If auto-sync, have you set the files to be synced for this device? 6) Which generation Classic? 7) How was your Classic upgraded to 250g?

2 issues I have. My 'library' is in .flac format. When I send files to the ipod, which is the only way I have ever gotten files ON this ipod, it shows the status bar and says its converting then stops about 3/4 thru the first file and sits there for hours. It won't 'eject' because it says the ipod is in use. If I shut it down and look at the ipod, the files are not there.
