The objective is to check on the subject and see how they are doing. Alcohol and drug evaluations are used in court sentencing mitigation to reduce the length of a sentence, prison commitment or treatment can be substituted in lieu of all the sentences. The sooner you complete your evaluation the quicker you’ll be on your way to freedom.

Several of our staff members have personal experience with addiction and trauma, so we model recovery behavior and treat each patient with compassion and understanding. Joint evaluation — evaluation of a public intervention by an evaluation team composed of both internal and external evaluators. External evaluation — evaluation of a public intervention by people not belonging to the administration responsible for its implementation. Ex nunc evaluation — an evaluation that is performed during implementation. Ex post evaluation — evaluation of an intervention after it has been completed.

A structured interview is a set of structured questions that make it easier for someone without an intense background in the field to administer. This interview may not result in the most detail, and information to use in an individualized treatment plan may be limited. In some states, the recommendations are almost completely up to the evaluator. Other states have minimum treatment requirements that might depend on factors such as how many prior dui convictions the offender has and the offender's blood alcohol concentration. Offenders who receive an outpatient recommendation will have to attend a program at a treatment facility but will go home each night.

Outputs — direct products of programme activities which may include types, levels and targets of services to be delivered by the programme. Need — problem or difficulty affecting concerned groups, which the public intervention aims to solve or overcome. Feasibility — the extent to which valid, reliable and consistent data are available for collection.

It can help the assessor tell if substance use is limited to social or recreational use, and how severe it is. It was written based on peer-reviewed medical research, reviewed by medical and/or clinical experts, and provides objective information on the disease and treatment of addiction . A court-ordered evaluation determines if an ongoing condition like substance use disorder is present, or if there is not enough evidence to support a diagnosis. Even if there isn’t enough evidence, many states will still require you to undergo various programs or treatment obligations as deemed acceptable by the court. A semi-structured interview allows a more skilled professional to supplement the structured questions with ones derived from their specific expertise within the field.
