Each character in Arcane Legends with different abilities and attacks

Let’s face it there was a time we all were addicted to some form of a RPG game. Whether it be Pokemon, Elder Scroll Series, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft or even Runescape, we all wasted countless hours in front of the monitor screens leveling up our characters with love and trying to make it one of the biggest power houses in the game. I don’t know what it was but the sound of enemies dying in two to three hits from my character always made me feel oh so powerful. Anyhow, if you’re such a gamer on Android, look no further as Arcane Legends is the game for you!

Arcane Legends is based on a Free2Play model but does not require the player to spend money to evolve quietly over the course of the adventure. The Free2Play is visible, everywhere in the game, through an NPC (non-player character) that offers assets like Double XP, Double OR, etc. .. and in the general menus to unlock slots. additional characters, and others.

You start off by choosing either a Rogue, Warrior, or Sorcerer character, each with different abilities and attacks. Each character can also be customized slightly, from a handful of different faces, In the beginning you also get to choose a pet partner and name them, but this isn’t a permanent decision like your very first Pokemon Throughout the game, you’ll find and be able to buy new pets. Your pet serves as your ally and help you fight in battle as well as pick up money and other items on the ground. Your pets also level up and learn abilities. Like most MMORPGs on the mobile platform, you will move the character with the virtual d-pad on the left and the action button on the right. This action button is used to attack. In addition, you can also hold the action button to charge a more powerful attack. Around this action button, you can also put a shortcut for your skills.

The action-based combat that I first loved in Dark Legends has a heavy presence in Arcane Legends as well. In the first two titles, combat was always an auto-attack thing. Players push the attack button, and the character on the screen fires off attacks like crazy while locking on to targets. In Dark Legends, players must push a button to make the ability trigger. Holding down an ability charges it up as well, firing off a much more powerful attack. Arcane Legends takes this one step further by allowing every ability to be charged up. On top of that, each ability has five different add-ons that can be learned, making builds and tweaks a part of Legends gaming... finally.

Arcane Legends still has plenty of room to grow, however. More character classes would be nice, and the gameworld is a little on the small side in comparison with rival offerings. These are areas where we would expect Spacetime Studios to expand in the future - this is, after all, still a young release. Working in a genre where it's so difficult to get things right, Spacetime Studios has a fantastic track record. Arcane Legends continues that proud tradition, and while it's not quite as robust or content-rich as its established competitors, it's off to a wonderfully assured start.
