I remember when this flash game was free off of Pixel Jam's website and I played the crap out of it in 9th grade. So I thought it was cool that they were revisiting this classic and bought it. But it turned out to be essentially the same thing but with diagonal shooting. Nothing is different about it, at all, aside from that. According to Gamma Bros' steam page it's been out for nearly two years now in this state, so I can't be confident that anything is going to change for a considerable amount of time. For that reason I wouldn't reccomend spending money on this (a game that used to be free) until the price goes down or it's on sale or they actually update it.. I have known about this game for years and now it's finally on steam. I've always loved it, its music, pixel art, and somewhat retro vibe. It's decently challenging for newcomers and gets tougher. I've been playing pixeljam games since 2008 or so, love them.. This game is one of the best 8-bit shooter games out there for Steam. I actually found this game when I was 9 or 10, when it was still a flash game on many small websites. I was amazed by it's shooter addiction and gameplay it had towards me, and immediately loved this game from the start. I was actually surprised when I found it on Steam, but not surprised because it's such a fun game. The graphics and music are really good and match the game up well. The plot's very simple, but intriguing with the Bros trying to get back to Earth. There's also a password system where you can go back to a previous point or get ships, which comes in handy when you have to leave your game or get a game over. Only thing I recommend is to make the game longer because it takes about a hour to beat without game overs in one run, but still has lots of replay value when it comes to playing different difficulties. A total recommendation to gamers looking for a good shooter to try, and especially because Pixeljam made Dino Run, another game I love. I hope Pixeljam continues to work on update 1.5 to make the game bigger, keep up the good work.. From when I first found this game on multiple flash gaming sites when I was younger, I fell in love with the atmosphere immediately. So great that years later I had to invest in this experience out of many other Pixeljam games. Even though the game hadn't made any significant changes at all since the first release, it was still a general fun time.. i flipped out when i realized i bought this with the other pixeljam games, i totally forgot this game existed. i played the heck out of this in high school on a keyboard, and since im pretty sure i havent gotten much better at this game since then, let me say that it was totally meant to be played with two joysticks. i already beat it again once, but now i need to get the ending where both brothers make it. its pretty tough and fun but still on the short side- $5 is an appropriate price. really looking forward to v. 1.5!!. Great little shooter game fun while it lasts and quite fair. However the length of the game compounded by its rigid level structure leave it with relatively minimal replayability. I think the best comparison i can make is 5 gum, its amazing for a short period before becoming very bland quite suddenly. You can't hide anymore! : Hello Testers, We are happy to announce you an incredible new feature: Path-Finding! The AI is now able to find its way through buildings. Temporarily we removed the two weapons (M4A1 & P90) and implemented a pistol with animations! Announcement : Hello Testers, As you all know or not, curently we have 3 branches (default , preTesting and thebeginning). Default as you can imagine is the normal build, preTesting is the branch which gets the newest version first so look out for it. Last but least we have the branch the beginning which is the oldest version of the game so if you wanna know how it was like at the beginning of the development. So now a little update yeah! The pretesting branch gets a new version which includes sprinting , and zombies (puppets) with diffrent speed. Until now the sprinting is not time limited so you can sprint as long as you want , but in the next update we will change this, for this it would be nice to hear from what you are thinking the max sprint time and recovery time should be.. v0.0.81,5 New Perk : Hi, Today i am proud to announce our third perk "Fast Hands" which effects the reload time of all weapons you are carrying. That means the reload time gets bisected. Also we get now a perk icon for the "Harder" perk, as well as a placeholder icon for the "Fast Hands" perk.
