Digital read out(DRO) in GCS series is a high meticulous instrument that can be used on lathe ,grinding machine ,milling appliance ,boring machine and EMD TO make the locus detection .A digital position readout provides a numerical display viewing the position of your machine fundamentals. On a milling machine a 3-axis DRO indicates the X- and Y- positions of the mill table plus the Z-axis position of the cutting instrument.
Milling machines DRO are very resourceful. They are frequently used foor machine flat surfaces, but can also produce asymmetrical surfaces. They can also be used to drill, bore, cut gears, and create slots. The type of milling machine most usually found in student shops is a vertical spindle machine with a swiveling head. Milling is a procedure performed with a machine in which the cutters rotate to remove the material from the work piece present in the direction of the angle with the tool axis. With the help of the milling machines one can perform many tasks and functions starting from small objects to large ones.

DROs help prevent common faults such as misreading the hand wheel dials or losing count of hand wheel rotations. They also provide capabilities that are dreadful with mechanical hand wheels and dials, such as switching from evaluating inches to measuring millimeters.
