Harmonics can be generated in your power source by any device that has non-linear operating characteristics. If you are using electrical appliances that can trigger harmonics or you have had issues with harmonics, a capacitor reactor or filter bank might be the solution.

Harmonic Generated Issues :

The increased heating causes capacitors, capacitor fuses, transformers, generators, fluorescent lighting ballasts, and other electrical components to fail.

Circuit breaker tripping or blown fuses are a danger.

Harmonic noise causes control system elements to operate incorrectly.

Electronic equipment that is responsive is damaged.

Disruption of electronic communications.

The industry’s growing requirement for accuracy, flexibility and adjustability of electrical equipments led to the invention of low-cost diodes, thyristors, SCRs, and other power semiconductors. These modern devices have largely replaced mercury arc rectifiers in rectifier circuits for UPS setups, static converters, and AC and DC motor power and establish challenging and innovative requirements for engineers.

The harmonic currents can disrupt the power grid and intervene with the functioning of other electrical devices, such as power factor correction capacitors. This results in harmonic distortion.

Harmonic Analysis -

The initial step in addressing harmonic-related issues is to do a harmonic analysis to assess your electrical distribution system's particular specifications. To figure out how much capacitor and filter is required, you'll need to know the supply network's impedance and the magnitude of each harmonic current. The capacitor, reactor and filter bank appliances are then listed to match your requirements after a thorough computer evaluation.

If you wish to reduce the risk of your assets or capital being lost in the future, you should use the Harmonic filters.
