Having said that police brutality isn't exactly

Having said that police brutality isn't exactly something that a company like EA throwing cash at the problem does considerably towards fixing. At best they put money towards the lawyers and groups that fight to see justice after Mut 21 coins the truth or lobby to get laws changed that in the present government will not. It's systemic difficulties within police of not reporting their particular and holding them liable instead staying silent and with the police unions that allow it all to occur or in ways even promote it by the repercussions being a slap on the wrist followed by being hired in another precinct showing them there's no consequences. Before even getting to legislation and rulings such as qualified immunity which protect abusive cops and permit them to abuse their power freely. The vast majority of that EA and many capitalist companies are not able to do all that much about making it unfair to state they are at the best possible place to do much more.

The ones in the best possible place to do more would be the assumed great cops by no longer remaining quiet and allowing bad cops to eliminate their abuse of power or voting for superior leadership for their unions which will not enable the behaviour. However, of course it is just words. Companies will only ever do these things once public opinion has turned one way. Even if all businesses stopped doing things wrong, it is going to take a longlong time for this picture of corporate America to lose its tarnish. Part of what people might do is elect politicians that at least promise that they'll hold these corporations accountable. It probably wont happen by itself. This would be a lot easier if a person like this could run for office successfully.

Because no matter the sentiment, this remains 100% a company and marketing maneuver. If they really wanted to do something positive, they could do it without advertising their merchandise while doing so. Because it's not genuine. This is no different than the coronavirus advertisements. They might have said nothing in any way. That is good. Solidarity or else they realize a decent chunk of the audience is preoccupied with something more significant than a damn videogame? Man. These remarks really emphasize the nihilistic character of reddit users. Yes, this really is a provider. Yes, it has something to do with advertising. But Jesus, can not we be glad that companies are saying something? Do you not know how much of an impact this could make? If the firm ignored the situation, it would give every checked out mind the concept that what is happening is normal and routine.

EA does not care for people who aren't investors. Eliminating Kaepernick's name from tunes in Madden 2 years in a row shows it. Businesses do not want one to buy Madden 21 coins defend themlet their attorneys do that work. But we shouldn't praise a company for reaching the absolute bare minimum. It seems just like throwing a party for when your friend says"Hey guys I'm not racist" after he said the N word a year ago. You are not trendy and moral for thanking corporations for not spitting on you. We should praise firms who show patterns of positivity. Feel free to disagree, but don't act like this exact instance is this incredibly complex morally-grey situation. I mean I thought there were pretty strict regulations on whose titles and likeliness may be utilized in Madden. Like Belicheck and Payton aren't in Madden because they are not part of the NFLCA and that is who EA includes a contract with. They might have to cover Kap if his title is used and are probably avoiding that. That and Kap isn't exactly welcome in the NFL planet (not speaking about lovers ) anymore.
