Is there any way on God's green earth that I can Download and INSTALL PP Viewer 2003 0r 2007 without the Office program installed? Some how or another I lost PRO11.msi file and have had to go with PP97. Works OK, but Enquiring minds just has to know! TNX. Grady.
Paulm, tnx for the input. This problem started with a windows and MS update. Somewhere in the process i lost or never had PRO11.msi which is some sort of installer. The MS Office Pro may have been put in by a tech who worked on this about 2 years ago. I never use it. Ive got the Open Orfice thing in my comp. Which one of those files can be used in the PP Viewer? I may try again,but 9:1 I'll probably gum it up again. I may have to let this sleeping dog lie and be content with PPV97. Tnx. agn. Grady.
Owbist, I give up. The system has won! I finally have 97 in both computers. Those naked women look just as good on 97 as they did on 2003 when I had it. Appreciate you trying to help a clicker. grady.
If 2007 then search for info.aspx - I included the MS site for 2007 this time if you wish but the you would search for the file PowerPointViewer.exe instead.

Double click on whichever you go for and hopefully everything will be a go. How come you broke the tiller?
If you downloaded 2003 then use the search feature and look for ppviewer.exe.
Owbist I managed to find the info.aspx file and when it finally filled the notepad page it was all computerese. Not understandable by this old man. What ,Pray tell, should I do? Give up and sick with 97? Tnx. Grady.
OpenOffice.org has a program that will let you create and modify ppt files. It's free.
I might remove any previous version before installing as you may well have a corrupt file there.
Owbist, Tiller no broke. Just worked on it so tiller won't break during a crucial operation. Oh, I'm on the wrong forum. Ha! Grady.
Owbist, Get back to work. It didn't work . neither one. I get a "SAVE" choice , No "RUN" choice. I save and then can't find it. When I do find something and try to open it Gives me "Parameters not Correct. " I think I'll work on my tiller instead. Had to go back to 97. tnx. for trying. Grady.
OK so perhaps try that last link I provided for PPV2007, that is the actual Microsoft site. Don't give up for goodness sake, I hate the thought of a bunch of wires and resistors beating two old guys.
Yes you can do that Grady. Not the whole program allowing you to create PowerPoint presentations but the viewer most definitely.
