Reconstruction after breast surgery is an extremely important aspect of the recovery process. Breast reconstruction can be performed after total mastectomy, as well as after partial mastectomy (“lumpectomy”). And furthermore, breast reconstruction can be performed in an “immediate” setting (at the same time as the breast excision) as well as in a “delayed” setting (ranging from weeks to decades after the breast excision). And even more so, revision of breast reconstruction can be performed at any time, and can range from a minor modification, to a complete change to a different form of reconstruction. We are able to perform all forms of breast reconstruction, including tissue-based and implant-based approaches.
