A scientific expedition sets out for the island of Borneo. They are in search of a flower named the Blood Orchid. Reports say that this flower can lead to a longer life. But what they find inhabiting the rainforest of Borneo are a group of anacondas. But they aren't ordinary... the Blood Orchid made the anacondas longer, faster, and smarter. Now the scientists must find a way out of the rainforest by outsmarting, outrunning and outliving the anacondas.
In New York, the ambitious Dr. Jack Byron and his associate Gordon Mitchell present the research of his assistant Sam Rogers to the CEO and board of directors of a corporation to sponsor a scientific expedition to Borneo. The objective is to find a flower, Blood Orchid, that flourishes for a couple of weeks every seven years and could be a fountain of youth, prolonging the expectation of life of human beings. They are succeeded and once in Borneo, they realize that it is the raining season and there is no boat available to navigate on the river. They pay US$ 50,000.00 to convince Captain Bill Johnson and his partner Tran to sail to the location. After an accident in a waterfall, the survivors realize that a pack of anacondas have gathered for mating and their nest is nearby the plantation of Blood Orchid, which made them bigger and bigger.
OK so I've watched so many movies that writing a full review gets to be too much. So I'll keep it short. I liked the graffics, storyline, and certain scenes.

I disliked how they had to talk about girls sexually working they're way up the success ladder (because that usually doesn't really happen, and its morally wrong), I disliked that the black guy was a complete wimp (he doesn't have to be a hunter, but a least somewhat of a man), I disliked that they had to add the scientist and black man having sleeping together. Completely unnecessary and didn't add to the story.

This movie had some good scenes, good acting, and could have been an all-time favorite for me (and endorsed by me), unfortunately it killed itself. #4Stars For all you "Snakes on a Plane" fans, here's one that came out a couple years earlier. I haven't seen the original "Anaconda" flick yet, so I can't make a comparison, but I found this one to be fairly entertaining. It's got a great premise with the Perrinia Immortalis business, and because it only shows up once every seven years, you've got the time pressure element for the lively band of adventurers to 'get in and get out', so to speak. Jin-Soon Bill Johnson (Johhny Messner) even said that at one point, so you had to know that was true.

Hey, how about that Man vs. Crocodile battle in the middle of the river. If you've seen any of those Jungle Jim movies from the Fifties, you'll appreciate the realism displayed when Wild Bill takes on the angry croc. You couldn't tell if it was made out of rubber or not, and Johnson came out of the water with some blood on his neck. Jungle Jim never even got a scratch!

Although the scientific basis for the stuff going on sounded good, most of it was made up, like the bit with the stone spider. There really are such things, named that way because they're almost always found under stones. Not poisonous either, but give it a name like Laba-Laba Batu and it makes you wonder. The only thing that will paralyze you here is watching the picture.

My very best takeaway from the movie was when Cole (Eugene Byrd) went ballistic right after Sam (KaDee Strickland) saved him with the Samurai move on one of the title creatures, stating how she 'Lorena Bobbit-ed his ass'. You really had to be around a decade earlier when Mrs. Bobbit made headlines with her own operation with a knife. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll have to look it up. It will be worth your trouble.

Best talent in the movie - had to be Kong, who didn't even merit a film credit, but he had the slickest moves and the best reaction shots of anyone in the picture. Just watch his facial expressions, you'd swear he was a natural born actor. Supremely silly but undeniably fun sequel.
