How to Build a Burger Box from Scratch

I’ve been wanting to build my own burger box for quite some time now. I love the idea of having all the ingredients right there in front of me, and being able to make whatever kind of burger I want whenever I feel like it. But until recently, I had no idea how to go about building one myself. So when I was asked by The Foodie Blogger Network to share my story on how I built my first burger box, I decided that this would be a great opportunity to finally get around to doing so!

The process of making your own burger box is pretty simple. You start with an empty cardboard box (or any other container you have lying around), then fill it up with everything you need to make burgers. After that, you can decorate your new burger box however you please. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned DIYer — everyone can benefit from learning how to make their own burger box.

So without further ado, here is my step-by-step tutorial on how to build your own burger box!

Step 2: Cut Out the Pieces of Cardboard That You Need

Now that we know what we will need to make our own burger box, it’s time to cut out the pieces of cardboard that we will use. To do this, simply follow these steps:

Start by drawing out a rectangle shape on one side of your cardboard box. This will be where you will place your hamburger patties. Next, draw two more rectangles next to each other. These will be used for the buns. Finally, draw another rectangle in the middle of your cardboard box. The middle rectangle will serve as the base of your burger box.

Step 3: Fill Up Your Burger Box With Everything You Need

Now that all the pieces of cardboard are drawn out, it’s finally time to put them together. Start by placing the bottom piece of cardboard on top of the middle piece of cardboard. Then, fold down both sides of the bottom rectangle so they meet at the center. Once you have done this, then start filling up your burger box with everything you need.

Step 4: Add the Lid

Once you have filled up your burger box with all the things you need, now is the time to add the lid. Simply fold down both ends of the middle rectangle until they meet at the center again. Then, fold down the top edge of the bottom rectangle until it meets the folded-down end of the middle rectangle. When you have done this, you should have something like this:

Step 5: Make Sure It Looks Good!

Finally, take a look at how your burger box looks. If there are any mistakes or if you feel anything needs to be changed before you move onto step 6, then go ahead and fix those problems. Otherwise, let’s get started making some burgers!

Step 6: Put On Your Gloves

Now that you have made sure that your burger box looks good, it’s now time to put on your gloves. This is because you will need to protect yourself from getting food on your hands when you are cutting the meat into your hamburgers. So, once you have put on your gloves, it’s ready to go!

Step 7: Get Started Making Some Burgers!

Finally, it’s almost time to eat some delicious homemade hamburgers! To begin, grab your meat tenderizer and start pounding away on your beefsteak tomatoes. After you have pounded them down to about half their size, it’s also time to slice them up. Now, just chop up whatever else you want to include in your hamburgers. For example, I decided to throw in some lettuce, tomato slices, onion, pickles, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, and salt.

Step 8: Place Your Hamburger Patties Into Your Burger Box

After you have finished chopping up all your ingredients, it’s safe to say that it’s time for you to place your hamburger patten inside your burger box. To do this, first lay down your hamburger patty on top of the bun. Then, spread out the rest of the toppings over the top of the hamburger patty.

Step 9: Enjoy Your Homemade Hamburgers!

After you have placed all your ingredients inside your burger box, it‘s now time to enjoy your homemade hamburgers! Just pop open your burger box and start eating!
