How to Fix Outlook Operation Failed Attachment Error

Some of the Microsoft Outlook users are complaining that they are facing the ‘Outlook Operation Failed Attachment’ error. They face this error while trying to launch the attachments in send email or text. The complete errors displays: The operation failed. An object cannot be found. In this situation, users cannot launch attachments or send messages with Outlook. If you are one of them, then follow the steps mentioned below to fix this issue.

Checking Outlook Isn’t in Compatibility Mode
Firstly, check that you have chosen the Run this program in compatibility mode option for Outlook.
You need to right-click on the Outlook symbol given on the screen.
Otherwise, go to the File Explorer menu for choosing the Properties option.
Choose the Compatibility option.
You need to unselect the Run this program in compatibility mode tab.
Click on the Apply button.
Press on the OK option to close the menu.
Updating the Outlook
Press on the File menu.
Click on the Office account option.
Press on the Update Options button.
Click on the Update Now option for updating the software.
Setting up the new user profile
For setting up the Outlook profile, open the Run prompt box.
Type the Control Panel in the Open column.
Press on the OK button.
Press on the Mail option.
It is located on the Control Panel menu.
Click on the Show Profiles option.
It is located on the Mail Setup menu, which gets launched on the screen.
Click on the Show Profiles option.
It is located on the Mail setup wizard, which automatically gets open on the screen.
Press on the Add option.
Type the name of the profile in the provided column.
Press on the OK option.
Type the important information which is needed to sign in to the user account.
You need to enter it in the Add Account menu.
Press on the Next button.
Cleaning boot Windows
You need to click on the Windows and R keys together.
Type the ‘msconfig’ in the provided column.
Press on the OK button.
It will launch the System Configuration utility menu.
Press on the Selective startup option.
After that, choose the Load system services option.
Then, begin using the original boot configurations menu.
Unselect the Load startup items section.
Press on the Hide all Microsoft services settings tab.
It is located on the Services option.
Click on the Disable all option.
It will unselect the third-party applications.
Press on the Apply option.
Click on the OK button.
Click on the Restart button.
It is given on the prompt box which is showing on the screen.
Repairing the data file of the Outlook with Scanpst.exe
Click on the Windows and E keys together.
Launch the Office file by going to the File Explorer menu.
Press SCANPST.EXE to launch the Outlook Inbox Repair Tool.
Click on the Browse option.
Choose the PST file option.
Press on the Start menu to begin the scanning process.
After that, press on the Repair option.
