How to Make Custom Ringtones on iPhone

Having a different ringtone on your phone can be helpful and attractive at once. You can choose any sound in your phone as your ringtone, or you can even create a new tone to set it as ringtone of your iPhone.

If you are a user of the GarageBand app, then you can create your custom ringtones from the purchased and downloaded songs. If you wish to create the custom ringtones, then you should follow these steps:

Creating Ringtones

Firstly you should get the GarageBand app from the App Store.
After the download, open the app.
Click on the Tracks located at the top.
Select the audio Recorder.
Click on the Multitrack switch.
Click on Loop Browser, which is on the top-right corner.
Click on Sector, and you have to choose from the Apple Loops, Music, and Files (suppose you selected the Music).
Search for the favorite purchased song, make sure you have purchased that song from iTunes. Otherwise, you will be unable to select that song.
Now, press and hold that song so that you can drag it into the GarageBand.
Editing

In this step, you have to cut the 30-second clip from the song, which will be the part of your Ringtone.
Please pick up the song’s end in the app and slide them inwards. You can listen to the selected part so that the Ringtone has your favorite piece in it.
To listen, the selected part, you have to click on the Play Button.
Saving and Renaming Your Custom Ringtone

When the editing is complete, then you have to keep the Ringtone, and for that, you have to follow the following steps:
Click on the My Songs, located on the left top corner of the screen.
Select My Songs to option from the list appeared from the pull-down.
Tap and hold on the clip that you just created and saved.
Now, click on Rename and give it a suitable name for that clip.
Click on Done.
Now you have to click and hold on the clip one more time.
Now select the Share.
Click on the Export button.
You have to click on the Ok button of the Ringtone Export successful dialogue box.
Assigning the new Ringtone

After editing, saving, and renaming, the only task remaining is assigning it as a ringtone. For that, you should follow these following steps:

Click on the Setting app placed on the home screen.
Select the Sounds and Haptics section.
Click on Sound and vibration patterns.
Go to the Ringtone option.
Now, you have to choose that Ringtone, which you just created.
Click on the Default ringtone.
This way, you can have the custom made tone as your Ringtone.

Setting Ringtone as an Individual Contact Ringtone

If wishes that the custom made Ringtone for the specific contacts, then you have to follow these steps:

Click on the Contacts, located on the Home Screen.
Select that specif Contact that you want to give that custom made Ringtone.
Click on the Edit button, located at the right-top corner.
Select the Ringtone option.
Now you have to select that custom made Ringtone you want to hear when the phone rings.
Click on the button Done.
Do the same again for the pop-up.
If you wish to do set the custom tone for other contacts, then you can follow the same procedure.

This way, you will hear the specific tone when someone or that particular Contact calls you. This way, you will not get confused in the crowd if you hear the same company made Ringtone.
