Is Bullying a good essay topic?
For the college i'm applying to, the topic is to talk about one obstacle you've been through in your life, and how it affected your life.
So basically I would write this in a much more personal matter, with a lot of emotional stuff. Is this a good idea? Or is it too much.
Also i would talk about how this changed my life, my view of myself and others, and how it influenced the decisions i've made.

During my sophomore year, this guy that sat next to me in my english class was harassing me for being a Muslim. He called me names, hurt me, and talked crap about me to other people. I dealt with it for 6 months before finally getting the courage to tell my english teacher about it, because I did not want to get in any violent acts. So i told the teacher and she talked to him, and he never talked to me again.
