Enjoy some popcorn while you watch Project Photofly movies (while we put the finishing touches on the real thing).
Many of you saw an early version of Project Photofly 2.0 technology at Autodesk University. Some of you read about the improvements we demonstrated at TED. We are very close to making Project Photofly available for your feedback.
Project Photofly is our free technology preview of a service that converts your sets of photographs into a 3D model. With a common point and shoot digital camera, if you follow our shooting guidelines, you can take a handful of photographs and the service will construct a 3D model from the photographs. The number of photographs you take and how you take the photographs are key factors to success. With this in mind, Autodesk Labs Marketing Director, Dominique Pouliquen , has created an instructional video that demonstrates how to take the photographs.
