Russian Deputy Defense Minister Andrei Kartapolov has accused US Intelligence of trying to manipulate the public consciousness with Metal Gear video game series. This was stated by Kartapolov at State Duma roundtable conference.

Unfortunately, Kartapolov didn’t reveal where this theory came from. The whole accusation by Kartapolove doesn’t make sense to gamers. That’s because Kartapolov is overlooking the fact that Metal Gear was not even made in the United States.
For those who don’t know, the video game series created by Hideo Kojima originated from Japan via Konami in 1987. Players take control of Solid Snake in the game who is on a hunt to find a superweapon called super-weapon called “Metal Gear,” which can take down nuclear weapons.
