easiest/safest is to boot the server on HP's SPP: http://hp.com/go/spp.
Make sure the firmwares you want to install are on the SPP, if they're not you can put the SPP on a USB and manually put the .scexe files on it. The SPP can be run in interactive mode, so can choose which firmware updates to apply. I've done this several times without issues.
Applying firmware updates should not cause any rebuild or data to be lost. But keep a backup of course! What is "detrue"? The RAID should not be rebuilt either.

There are many ways to update the firmware.
Booting from SPP will update all firmware available for the server. Running hpsum on the running OS (local or remote) will update the firmware online and all the drivers too.
You may also run hpsum (from the current SPP on a remote system and point it to the OA of the enclosure and the individual blade OS, doing this will update the enclosure itself, the blade firmware and drivers.
