We are just about halfway through the IPL season and the wait for IPL 2021’s return is almost over. Forcing its way into the international calendar and just before the T20 World Cup, the IPL will play its remaining group matches and the playoffs in UAE. In a lot of ways, this will be ideal preparation for the players that are a part of their T20 World Cup national squads as well.

At the time that IPL 2021 had to be suspended, we had the Delhi Capitals at the top of the league standings with six wins from eight matches. Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians were the other teams in the qualification zone. There does seem to be a bit of a gap that has developed between the top half and the bottom half of the table but there are still six/seven matches to go for each team. There is a lot of potential for some places changing around just yet. Also, there is an added incentive in the IPL to finish 1st or 2nd so that the teams get an extra chance of making the IPL Final.

FOUR TEAMS TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS IN IPL 2021

The fact that teams like Delhi Capitals have already won 6 games gives them a huge edge when the IPL resumes. In most seasons, 8 wins are needed to make the playoffs. If we use that as a benchmark, then teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad (one win from seven) and Kolkata Knight Riders (two wins from seven) are pretty much ruled out of the running. Sure, they could make a miraculous recovery but we are not going to advise betting on that!
That leaves the Punjab Kings and the Rajasthan Royals as the two challengers to the current top-4. We don’t think the Rajasthan Royals are going to have much of an impact considering their overseas players are not going to be available. Punjab Kings may win a few matches but they will also find it tough to displace one of the front runners.

We think the four teams to make it into the playoffs are going to be the current Top-4:
Delhi Capitals
Chennai Super Kings
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Mumbai Indians

FINALISTS OF IPL 2021-ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE VS MUMBAI INDIANS
This is a high-risk bet and that is why you are getting such fantastic odds for online betting. However, we do think a punt on this betting market makes sense. We can be reasonably sure that both the Mumbai Indians and RCB will make it to the playoffs. According to us, RCB has made some very smart moves during the break and comes to the resumption a better team than it was at the start. The other team we are picking is the most successful IPL team of all time led by one of the best T20 minds in the world.
Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians had a slow start to IPL 2021 but that is nothing new. They usually peak around this time and dominate the second half. We can see them challenging for the title once more.
