Kay-Metzeler is committed to minimizing its impact on the terrain and legal compliance.
With this in mind, we stopped the manufacture of EPS sequestration using Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD). The evening date (under REACH regulations) for the use of HBCD in raw material, we decided on the early perpetration of these regulations in order that our guests were HBCD free before the evening date and also to reduce our impact on the terrain.

The coming phase of elimination of HBCD from the force chain is enterprises the recycling of HBCD containing accoutrements

Regulation (EU came into force this regulation requires that all accoutrements containing> 1000mg/ kg of HBCD must be destroyed.

Products containing HBCD shouldn't be landfilled or reclaimed; the designated system of disposal in the UK is by external incineration rather with waste recovery.

Please see attached Environment Agency guidance on HBCD.

So that we can still give an outlet for guests to reclaim expanded polystyrene products,
.we will bear a waste transfer note including the ensuing comment
