Cuts and grazes are common injuries that can be treated at home. A wound is when the skin is fully broken and a graze is when the top layer of the skin is scraped off. Both the conditions are easily treatable at home. All you need to do is follow a few instructions that would help improve the situation. First aid sunshine coast

Before you start with applying the tricks, make sure that you check if the victim is bleeding or there is any foreign object in the cut or you think it might be infected, then you should call for medical help.

These are few first aid tips for you;

* Clean the wound under running water. You can also use wipes to clean the area

* Pat the area dry using a gauze swab and cover it with sterile gauze. If you don’t have these available at home, you can simply use a clean non-fluffy cloth.

* Raise and support the injured part of the body. If it is hand or arm, raise it above the head and feel relaxed. If it is a lower limb, lay them down and raise the cut area, just above the level of the heart. This will help stop the bleeding.

* Now gradually remove the gauze covering the wound and do apply a sterile dressing.

* Make sure you keep a check on the wound for a while. Change the dressing every 5 hours to keep the area germ-free.

* When you return to the normal state, redress the wound and apply antiseptic. If infection look to be dangerous, seek medical help. Cpr training sunshine coast
