Ras Lee, born Lee Morris in Montego Bay Jamaica, comes from a family of rich musical credentials. Growing up in Montego Bay, his mother Mertella Morris was a choir leader in the Church of God of Prophecy where a young Ras Lee started singing in Sunday School. He would later sing for the church in various locations around the island.
