As much like MegaMan as this game may be, it is still way too ing hard which would be fine if it was the "challenging but rewarding" kind of "hard," this is more like the "how the do they expect me to do this!" kind of "hard" and when you finally beat one of the cheapcheating bosses, the game decides to add a ranking system, just to kill your enthusiasm by saying "you finally did it, huh? yeah, well, you still suck". It's alright but needs some sound effect revisions. Some levels have weird design but the price matches the game content fairly. I found myself able to understand the stages after only making just a few mistakes.. A fairly hard megaman game. I also fell into the water, like a number of reviewers of said, but I didn't fall through the level. Playing does remind me of megaman, and it's nintedo hard. Spikes still instantly kill you (Unless you took damage and are blinking.) I died pretty quickly on the first boss, which was not was I was expecting. I haven't played long, but it is fun - I'm just writing a review this soon to help balance out the two that found a glitch when they started.. bad control. METAGAL Is a pretty fun game but as of now the main character you play as is way too weak when fighting bosses and is filled with generic stock sound effects. You can get hit by the very first boss only 4 hits and you're dead, how many times do you have to hit the bosses? Way too many times to where its not even fun and ruins the pacing of the game. Not only that but the bosses decide to change their patterns out of no where making them way harder than they need to be. The sound effects are pretty mediocer and doesnt have very many in the game all together. A lot of the enemys in METAGA dont have any sound when they die, they just explode with no sound effect at all making the game feel even more unfinished and rushed. I would recommend this game but it still feels unfinished and unpolished.. Feels just like you would expect it to. Just wish it supported DirectInput controllers.. It still released faster than Mighty No. 9. EDIT: Since only one person found this helpful, I suppose I could go into detail. It controls pretty well, although I got used to the double-tap dashing rather than the button. Expect Mega Man, for the most part. I did like how abilities work, and anticipated getting a new one due to the fact that a lot of them help you get around the stages (like Warp Gal's weapon swaps the places between you and an enemy it hit). I liked the sprite work, although felt it lacked color, but this might be my own preferences toward the 8-Bit Mega Man games. The story is pretty basic, although I liked the attempts to give it color by injecting humor, although I'd have referenced some common Mega Man oddities (like why do they all have a Fortress?). The English was also a bit wonky, but the devs said English isn't their first language, so I can't criticize that. The difficulty was hard, as a Mega Man throwback usually is, although sometimes I thought the game got pretty unfair, although those are usually late-game (the pseudo-Quick Man lasers particularly annoyed me in the third Creeper stage). I might also suck at platformers. I'd check it out, since it's at a pretty low price, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the new playable characters in later updates. .And it also still released faster than Mighty No. 9.

New patch fix include OSX support! : [Features] - Now Metagal also got OSX support! [Patch] - Fix GAL.02 Meteor stomp cause FATAL error when the flame contact with some enemy.. But Player still able to hear old music when play the game with Boss character in their own level. - GAL.00 Meta nolonger attack as tripple shot. - Allow player switch save profile without exit game. - Refine Boss pattern such as Creeper gunship nolonger attack while use flame thrower. - GAL.02 Attack now become automatic fire. - Increase GAL.02 HP from 16 to 24 point. - Add extra background animation to several level. - Improve Credit Screen. But since we still want to put many Improvement inside but can't finish in time you can expect more patch soon.. Recent update. : You might see the game update many time last week and wondering what we did to it here is our fix list from recent update include this version. thank again to player who help us point out bug/glitch give us chance to make this game better more info you give us easier for us to reconize the issue and fix the problem. [Fix/Change] - Add Thai Language support [fix dialog due accident update before scadule] - Re-design some part in several level which mostly too difficult for it porpose or misguide player. - Instant death trap in easier to reconize [but still dangerous to player who rush the game] specialize fortress 3 levels. - Put extra gear to decrease punishment on several area [some area nearly allow player use respawn with gear unlimit]. - Press enter on "FX option" in title menu no longer allow player skip tutorial level. - Fix Fatal error which some time happen when player fight with Gal0X with Plasma Shield. - Fix Collision inside GAL02 secret area where some time player fall there and stuck inside. - Fix archivement not working since the last patch. - Fix Checkpoint broken in Gal04 level when player using gear around secret room.
