In the automotive industry, VeerO Metals specialises in custom machined components and metal 3D printing. Metal Additive Manufacture (DMLS) is a cutting-edge method for quick prototyping and manufacturing that overcomes design constraints, typical m/c tools, specific tools, and reduces manufacturing cycle lead time and waste of raw materials.

What does metal stamping entail?

Metal stamping is a procedure for generating a specified shape in metal that is largely used in the manufacturing business. Stamping, also known as pressing, is accomplished by inserting a flat sheet of metal into a stamping press, which then employs tools and dies to mould the metal into the required shape. Blanks are the pieces of flat sheet that are placed in the sheet stamping press. Several stamping techniques are used in the stamping process, including punching, blanking, bending, piercing, coining, embossing, and flanging.

Metal Stamping's Advantages

When batch sizes and annual volumes are large, it is cost-effective. One of the key reasons that larger companies choose this strategy is because of this. It reduces processing time, allowing for faster production with fewer machines and less personnel. When a corporation needs thousands of small, accurate machine parts in bulk, metal stamping should be used to cut production costs.

Complex profiles can be produced with greater consistency. Metal stamping, in general, allows for higher volume production without die degradation. It means that the metal parts are of higher quality, with fewer defective parts, which could constitute an overhead cost.
