Nearly all coal preparation plant employ the similar basic coal processing operation of crushing, screening, separation, flotation, and dewatering or drying. Coal crushing can be processed in three stages according to end production applicaitons: primary crushing, secondary crushing, tertiary crushing. It is important to design the layout crushing circuit reasonably, in order to make sure high effective and smooth production process.

Different types of crushing circuit involves various crushing machines, the primary crushing process circuit usually includes only a crusher and auxiliary equipment of vibrating feeder and conveyor. Except the prime equipment, secondary and tertiary crushing circuit also have impact crusher or cone crusher and vibrating screen or storage bins.
