You might often hear the word, and maybe you've even seen various brands or an online beauty store sell micellar water, but what is micellar water? Or perhaps the larger question is what micellar water would do to your skin? In basic terms, micellar water is a cleanser that is successful in eliminating dirt, oil, and makeup from the skin.

There are also other forms of skincare items that are called holy grails by various individuals. But micellar water on the skin is very soft, and it wouldn't hurt to try it out. Here are some valuable pieces of knowledge on what micellar water is.

First of all, micellar water is not just any kind of tap water that is treated. What is micellar water made of? This water-like material is filled with minute, cleaning molecules that are distributed and suspended in water, which are micelles.

These micelles have properties that are hydrophilic (water-soluble) and hydrophobic. Micelles work like magnets, in that the dirt and excess oils on your skin are attracted and captured by them. This is why the water separates the skin from makeup, grime and cleanses. Most forms even remove waterproof makeup and mascara as well—no need to clutter your cabinets with extra items.

Compared to several other cleansers, which makes micellar water a better option is that it is softer on the skin. Micelles have a larger size and therefore are not able to penetrate the skin. It is also reported that less likely frameworks to enter the skin result in less vigorous cleansers.

If you're heading to online beauty store or are searching for a convenient cleanser that will eliminate face makeup without leaving any trace, then the skincare product for you is micellar water. In reality, it has become one of the fashion shows' classics and a favourite of makeup artists. This is because, without the need for washing, it is able to remove makeup. It's also convenient for travelling, having in your gym bag, or every other time you want to clean up on the go quickly.

Since micellar water is so soothing and hydrating, it should be noted that it is ideal for people with sensitive and dry skin. There are harsh chemicals in some cleansers which can further harm and dry sensitive skin.

Harsh surfactants can cause discomfort, barrier damage, dryness, tightness, and even itching in cleansers. Micellar water does not burn since it does not contain alcohol or drying surfactants.
Unlike some cleansers and other products such as toners, it will not leave your skin feeling dehydrated or tight.

Aside from removing makeup and washing the skin, micellar water will give you more advantages. It may just be the all-in-1 thing that you are searching for. Another critical thing to note about micellar water is that it is a multitasker for sure. With this piece, a different face wash and makeup remover would probably no longer have to be used. If you appear to fall asleep with your makeup still on, because you're too exhausted to wash your face, mic ellar water is one incredible bonus.
