Swimming with your Baby
When can you take your baby swimming?
According to the NHS it is at your discretion when you want to introduce swimming to your little one. This can be before they are vaccinated. If you go to a private pool, ensure that there is more than one adult for support and safety reasons. Always have a mobile in reach and ensure the pool is in line with safety measurements.
I first took my little one when she was 10 weeks old to a private pool. At this point she had had one vaccine and was really enjoying her baths. I wanted to introduce swimming in a quiet environment before booking her in for swim classes. We started off in the pool exploring the water by lifting her in and out and going around on her back and upright. We also had a sit in float for her to explore the motion of the water in a safety ring.

How to make a Sensory Basket
Why do babies need a sensory basket?
Sensory baskets offer babies a brilliant opportunity for them to explore objects using their senses. Manipulating objects using their senses enriches their development by exploring; weight, shape, size, texture, feel, taste, smell and coordination, You can spend as little or as much as you like on objects, from retailers like amazon or etsy to charity shops.
Birthing Story
Everyone has a different story to tell, some good and some bad. I was booked in to be induced at 39 weeks as my pregnancy was high risk, due to having high blood pressure and my cervix shortening.
Health of the Baby
My experience of an Amniocentesis.
A 12 week scan often called the dating scan it is an opportunity for you to see your baby for the first time. They will check measurements of the baby, confirmation on how many babies you are carrying, estimate a due date, check the baby is growing in the correct place and to check the health of the baby.

New Born and Witching Nights
What is a witching night?
A new born baby has entered a world of the unknown. Leaving their snug, warm and safe environment to suddenly seeing and hearing everything. They’re confused and unable to communicate their wants and needs. This is where witching nights come in to action, your little one becomes agitated and frustration which can lead to endless crying at bedtime.
