I AM WASTING MY LIFE ON THIS STUDIP "F"ING GAME WHEN I COULD BE PLAYING SOMETHING FUN INSTEAD!. Put on a podcast or an audiobook and color in some damn squares. There's enough squares for everyone.. I am loving this game, it hase features I wish other games like this would use.. One of the best picross that I played on steam ex-quo with "Paint it Back", "Pepper's Puzzles" and "Travel Mosaics 6: Christmas Around the World" I think it's THE picross game where the dev is the most active One of the few picross game where the last difficulty level ask you to grey-out hints yourself (I think it's pretty cool, help develop your logic) There is so many positive aspects to it that the few nit-picking things I found doesn't really bother me and I like to keep playing =D Good job an this awesome game!. Best picross game I've ever played. Clean, well designed, workshop support for endless puzzles, the list goes on. 8/8 Will think about picross in my head evey waking moment for the rest of my life.. Pictopix is a fun, challenging, and addictive puzzle game. You'll get that sense of satisfaction after you've solved a puzzle, and you'll be left wanting more of it. It's an easy-to-understand puzzle game, definitely recommend to anyone. This is coming from a guy who dislikes puzzle games.. You were wise to come to the negative reviews, dear reader, because you are about to be spared a regrettable purchase. Do NOT be fooled by the Very Positive rating on this game; it is shovelware, plain and simple. If you're looking for a nonograms game that will challenge you, move along. Puzzles never get any larger than 25x25, which might be acceptable for an activity book you can buy at the supermarket, but not for a video game, where you ought to have such functionalities like zooming in and out, or scrolling around. Hell, it's worse than an activity book. With an activity book, you can play the puzzles in any order you like, and completely skip over the ones that are too easy for your liking. In Pictopix, you MUST slog through all of the easy puzzles before you are allowed to try your hand at the harder ones. And a slog it is, because at the end of every puzzle, you are treated to an 8-second long, unskippable "Well Done" sequence (which I suspect exists solely to try to run you past Steam's refund limit.) The mouse controls are also quite sloppy. Common to most nonogram puzzles, you have some "gimme clues" at the start (rows which are either zero or the full length of the grid). Unfortunately, the click-and-drag controls have a tendency to skip over tiles you're trying to mark, if you move your mouse too quickly. In a properly-programmed game, clicking-and-dragging would simply affect all tiles in a row or column between the start and end points of the click-drag. In this game, you have to slow down your mouse to make sure that it marks all the tiles. Trust me, it feels more annoying to play than you would think. And don't be fooled by the screenshots on the store page. You might see what looks like a multicolor puzzle, but there are no multicolor puzzles to be found in this game. When you complete a puzzle, the monochrome grid changes into colored pixel art. You can't actually play with multiple colors in any of the puzzles. Oh, and I hope you weren't expecting anything in the music department. As you are solving puzzles, you will be treated to the same 1:30 music loop again and again, until you mute it in frustration. Considering that this is a simple puzzle game, a good soundtrack is essential for getting your players into a relaxed, thinking mood. This maddeningly repetitive music is inexcusable. Here's the kicker. Google search for a game called Picma. You can play it online for free. It has much larger puzzles, and multicolor puzzles, and better aesthetic, and community-contributed puzzles. Pictopix doesn't even offer half as much as Picma (or Picma Squared, which is also free), and these developers have the gall to charge $7. Unacceptable. Hopefully, you will learn from my mistake and avoid doing business with these disreputable developers.. The best logical puzzle on Steam! It's a simple concept but is executed so beautifully that it doesn't get boring. If you don't like logical puzzles such as sudoku, then this game isn't for you.. I see filled in cubes and xs whenever I close my eyes. All I can think about is picross puzzles. Please send help.

New Free DLC: Mosaics! : Hello everybody, I'm very excited to announce that a new free update is available for Pictopix! This update adds new content and foremost a new game mode: the Mosaics Mode ! Mosaics Mode. Workshop updated, new language and more! : Hi everybody, In this new update ( version 1.1.11 ), the Workshop has been improved with the arrival of two new sort options: Sorting puzzles placed in your favorites and sorting puzzles by author. In fact it is now possible to add puzzles to your favorites. Its very easy. When a puzzle is finished you can click on the star to add it to your favorites. This is also possible from the Workshop. The option appears when clicking on a puzzle which is already solved. On the image you will have noticed the little button "+" which appears next to the author's name. When you click on this the list of the puzzles created by this player will appear on screen. This update brings with it a new language, the Hungarian . I'd very much like to thank Gz Richrd (TheReaperCooL) for his translations. The game is now translated into 6 languages! This is partly thanks to several players who have proposed their services.
