Eisenach is a small and tranquil town in Thuringia. It is located 50 km west of Erfurt, 150 km north-east of Frankfurt and 70 km south-east of Kassel. Historically, this beautiful town of Eisenach is rightly associated with the two themes of Martin Luther and Johann Sebastian Bach. Bach was born in Eisenach in 1685. He was a fervent Lutheran and a firm believer in and followed the philosophies of Martin Luther. And one can clearly see the traces of Luther's beliefs in this city.
