The silent Hero, the wall, the backbone of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid; for whom, the group has always been above him. The guy who never bragged-off his abilities and potentials. The state has given him the tag of Mr. Dependable, and the truth lies within it the group relied upon him a whole lot. This is a narrative of a guy in the cricket history that has proved his knacks on the pitch together with all his hard efforts, perseverance, and a dedicated group pioneer who could have been on the elite collection of magazines but always worked like a foundation, helping the national squad for a period of 16 years. Though Master Blaster's records have constantly overshadowed Rahul's career documents, still he's created an unforgettable imprint among the very successful captains of the overseas Test series. The legend is giving all his sweat to shine the potentials of this burgeoning cricketers, being the trainer of the Under-19 national cricket team.

 

Produced in Maratha household, Dravid has spent his childhood springs at Bangalore along with his parents and a younger brother. His father was employed in a company who prepared jams and preserves whereas his mother Pushpa Dravid was a professor of Architecture in University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering. Rahul began playing cricket at the age of 12 and played to get the Karnataka country in the Under-15 cricket group . Former Indian cricketer and Coach Keki Tarapore was the first to recognise his ability on the pitch during a summer camp in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Dravid's possibility in knowing the techniques helped him a great deal in grooming as a proficient player and led him to perform for the nation team at the Ranji Trophy of 1991. At the same season, Dravid struck a double century, ending up with 380 runs. The man proved he was destined to lead the cricket pitch.

Together with his consistent performance in domestic cricket, Rahul polished his skills and finally been selected as part of their national squad for the Singer Cup, held in Singapore in 1996, replacing Vinod Kambli. In the ICC Cricket World Cup of 1999, Rahul emerged out as the top scorer with 461 runs, is the only Indian batsman to hit two successive hundreds in the championship. Having a prolific record of playing in 93 Evaluation matches, Rahul scripted his title in the background as one of the most successful Test players. He also created a record of becoming the first Indian batsman to reach hundred against all Test playing countries. Rahul's serene and balanced performance with a defensive play is often mistakenly considered because his passiveness and lack of enthusiasm to lead as a batsman but what made him iconic is his own wisdom to not excite.

But the case was not necessarily like that. Rahul has shown his aggression during the ICC Champions Trophy of 2004 against one of the fastest bowlers of all Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar to get a Reasonable play. There were times when Indian gamers have begun switching their performance since meteoric, but Dravid remained methodical and stable. In 2003, at the Test match against Australia in Adelaide, he aided the national group with his 835 moments batting to win.
