How does the rental deposit work?

When renting a home, it is mandatory to pay a minimum of one month's deposit, this serves as a guarantee in case of damage to the home.

The payment of this deposit is included in the new Urban Leasing Law of 2019 , in which it is said that the payment of a month of deposit will be mandatory that the owner will have the obligation to deposit in the public body of the autonomous community in the that the house is found. In addition, the owner may request up to two months of additional guarantee from the tenant.

Refund of rental deposit

Take photos before entering the house

As soon as you enter the house, we recommend that you check everything well and take photos of any damage that you can see, no matter how small. Once you have them all, send them to the owner to record the condition of the apartment before moving in.
