Screen Printing at Home - Making a Stencil With PhotoEZ

This is a little little bit of substance (ie. a dollar, cardboard, report, a bit of plastic) that is the height of one's off contact. That case is placed on the finish of the screen figure wherever it visits the the surface of the throat platen and not the shirt. By using an down contact tab, you ensure that the down contact may remain through the entire print stroke.

The tab keeps the end of the screen up though you're driving down on the mesh through the stroke. Without an off contact loss, you may find that you have a harder time removing the mesh since the screen needs to keep level from the shirt with ink caught in it. In the event that you don't have the proper off contact a couple of issues could arise serigrafia.

If your down contact is too low you then will not have the ability to clear the screen properly. You should begin to see the screen mesh reversal down the shirt and manage to see the ink and the shirt by way of a removed screen mesh. If your ink remains in the screen mesh and the screen mesh sticks to the clothing, whenever you take the screen up your ink will appear really hard and pieces might pull out down the shirt.

If you're having this problem you will need to improve the down contact only a little bit. Also, this problem could arise from your own true print stroke that will be mentioned later. On another end of the selection, if you're off contact is too high; you'll have to force down difficult on the squeegee to be able to get all the ink down onto the shirt.

I've been out to shops to greatly help customers who literally had nearly a half inch of off contact. If your down contact is too much, not only can it be hard to move the printer onto the shirt, but there's a great opportunity that the screen won't drop in the same place every time. This could cause a blurry picture or double pictures after a flashing. A proper down contact is incredibly very important to a good looking image and a straightforward print.
