ROHA Biotech of IIT Madras was developing a biodegradable packaging material using agricultural waste, including sugarcane bagasse, cereal hay, and sawdust, as well as the weaving abilities of mushroom mycelium. The Roha Biotech team also looked into alternatives in the e-commerce and consumer electronics industries to see if they could benefit from the pain caused by in-transit damages.
