Using agricultural waste, including sugarcane bagasse, cereal hay, and sawdust, as well as the weaving powers of mushroom mycelium, ROHA Biotech of IIT Madras was creating a biodegradable packaging material. The Roha Biotech team also investigated alternatives in the consumer electronics and e-commerce sectors to determine if the suffering brought on by in-transit damages may be advantageous to them.
