THE AIR JORDAN 3 “KATRINA” RELEASING IN MAY

Air Jordan 3 Katrina was first created for charity in 2005. Now, Jordan Brand has chosen to release the extremely rare colorway for the Jordan 3’s 30th anniversary Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, was one of the deadliest storms to ever make landfall in the United States. In an effort to help recovery efforts and minimize the $108 billion in damages from the storm, Jordan Brand created a limited pair of the Air Jordan 3. Released exclusively at auction in 2006, the “Katrina” iteration quickly became a legend among Jordan collectors. The special version featured a white tumbled leather upper, capped by an elephant print mudguard and heel plates. The midsole features a red section on the heel, above the visible airbag, accompanied by a grey and red outsole. Other details include red eyelets as well as accompanying Jumpman logo and tongue lining. Recent in-hand pictures of the men’s pair of the shoe feature rich tumbled leather on the upper, indicating that this 2018 Jordan will feature quality materials. Images of pairs in the kids’ size range have also been spotted online, and reveal that the back of the shoe will feature a Jumpman Air logo.

A brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 “Pinnacle” may be making its way to retailers in the near future. After releasing the all black and all white pairs this Summer, it looks like Jordan Brand is far from done with their 30th anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 1. This latest colorway features brown leather throughout the entire upper with croc detailing on the Swoosh logo, the ankle and the heel. The signature gold accents are also present on the tongue, eyelets, lace dubrae and heel. There’s been no confirmation on whether this “Croc” Air Jordan 1 Pinnacle will be releasing. It is one day before my flight to New Zealand and I am still trying to fit everything in my backpack and hope that i won't forget anything. The excitement is growing, but also I am getting really nervous about being on myself for such a long time. It is really early in the morning and I am still up, trying to install and download everything for my new phone and tablet, making sure that i won't get too bored on the flight since it is 25 hours on the plane, with stops in Dubai and Sydney before I finally arrive in Christchurch, NZ. On the evening that day some friends came over to say goodbye for one last time and to wish me all the best on my adventure. We had lots of fun, even though it got a little emotional in the end.
