People are increasingly turning towards an eco-friendly society and now this trend is no longer going to diminish with time. More and more industries are spending on green technologies in place of traditional environmentally-detrimental practices. The government is also doing its part by providing tax breaks/credits for homes and businesses that install pollution appliances and possessions in place of greener options. Specifically, the industrial cleaning sector has made giant steps in implementing green technologies and making them cheaper for consumers to accept.
Dry ice blasting is now turning out to be the preferred method for pressure washing and industrial cleaning. Some other methods that are adopted when it comes to pressure washing include soda blasting, water blasting, and sand blasting. In spite of these methods working fine, they are no longer adopted for industrial cleaning due to the fact that these methods waste considerable resources and make the environment polluted along with cleaning.
A common method of cleaning is water blasting that makes use of pressure washing, but during the process, the water gets polluted by the substance that is cleaned and to some extent it is wasted as well. In the case of sand blasting, due to abrasive nature of the process, the equipment gets damaged, and sometimes it becomes irreparable. This leads to costly machinery getting disposed of in scrap yards or as landfills. Soda blasting is a pressure washing methods and the weakest of all the methods due to the inability of penetrating through hard buildup, the longer duration of its completion, and longer time of cleanup compared to actual cleaning process.
In dry ice cleaning, there is an instant evaporation for cleaning and works towards protecting the environment. FDA, EPA, and USDA have approved dry ice cleaning due to it being a byproduct method resulting from other processes and leads to lowering of the impact on the environment. In some other forms of pressure washing there is a need for cleaning up of the blasted substance that can result in respiratory troubles or problems of contamination if there is no proper draining facility or correct ventilation.
