One of the most significant efforts of the diamonds industries is to convert blood diamonds into conflict-free diamonds.  This process of diamond greenwash is called the Kimberly process of a diamond.  It has claimed to change conflict diamonds into conflict-free diamonds for the whole of the world. The Kimberly process of a diamond is an assimilation of rough diamonds and fresh diamonds that are mined recently. The suppliers of rough diamonds are banded for the protection of legitimate trade. The Kimberly process is only a marketing scheme. The main purpose of this process is to convince its consumers for the facts that the diamonds they are buying are not blood diamonds. They are ethical diamonds and free from any kind of conflicts or wars.

Is Kimberly's process deceptive?

The Kimberly process is considered deceptive due to several reasons.  One of the reasons is that the organization has its conflicts. It is described that it has not any permanent office or staff.  Its main reliable source is the contribution of other organizations. It has not any legal perspective as an international organization. It is an implementation of several national legislatures. In other words, it has loosed organizations without any permanent staff or office. Moreover, it is not regulated by the board certification.

Some groups' formation suggests that there is a determined purpose of the Kimberly process. The suppliers and miners of the rough diamonds were not agreeing to call the diamonds blood diamonds. So to resolve the issues both come together and make a meaningful sounding name to attract the consumers. The main purpose of the consumers was to assure the customers that the rough diamonds are free from any kind of conflicts.
